B. R. Ambedkar: On Democracy

“I will not tolerate it if the social dominance, the economic dominance, and the religious dominance which the Hindu exercises over me is added to the political dominance also. We shall fight tooth and nail against politics being perverted for the purpose of establishing an oligarchy of a ruling class. I cannot allow a constitution which will mean liberty for them and an empire over me. I will not allow a constitution in which  I am not free, and I am not an equal partner.
